The Isle of Skye is located off the North West coast of Scotland, and is the largest of the group of islands known as the Inner Hebrides. Though Scotland has around 800 islands, Skye is one of its most famous. Its mixture of legend, history, stunning landscapes and wildlife make it a memorable place to visit no matter what your interests are.
Visitors come here for many reasons, but whether it’s photography, climbing, walking, cycling, kayaking, bird and whale watching, or dining on its World famous seafood, the Isle of Skye leaves a lasting impression on everyone who stays here.
Allt Mor is situated in Upper Milovaig, part of the community-owned estate of Glendale on the Duirinish Peninsular, in the North West of the island. The cottage is located about 2 miles from Neist Point with its famous sea views, cliff top walks and iconic lighthouse. An excellent spot for bird and whale watching. Milovaig overlooks Loch Pooltiel with its small harbour and black sand beach and has spectacular views across the Minch to the Outer Isles and to Dunvegan Head. Despite its remote location, the village of Glendale has good local amenities including a post office/shop, cafes and craft outlets. Dunvegan, with its castle, shops and eating places is approximately 8 miles away. The largest town on the island, Portree is about 32 miles away.
